sad story

It must have been a pretty deep kiss. True story, one time, a 15 year old kisses her boyfriend. Little does she know it would be her last kiss. The poor soul dies from an allergic reaction. No she's not allergic to boys, nor him the least bit venomous. She kisses him with the force of a woman longing for her war-ridden husband to return. It burns in her veins, be it youth, or simply the desire to touch another human being. Who knows what kind of relationship it'd turn out to be has she not kissed him. Actually if the kiss is a bit more casual it would allow enough time for the paramedics to rush her to the emergency room, where she would have a close call but quite surely come through...*

There are a million ways to die, but this is one of a kind.

SAGUENAY, Quebec - A 15-year-old girl with a peanut allergy died after kissing her boyfriend, who had just eaten a peanut butter snack, hospital officials said Monday.
Canada of all places has made international headlines these couple of days. Still, no news is good news. And I've always admired Canada for that. The only time you see Canada on the news is when it's decriminalizing recrational drugs or legalizing same sex marriage.

*strictly fiction. i see it coming up in small talks. if you want to read news, follow the link below.

Talk about a kiss of death! Food allergies are scary ... especially with something like peanuts, they're in lots of things you wouldn't expect them to be in. Plus, as this story shows, even if you personally don't eat them, you can still be affected.

What an awful way to die, but unfortunately not much can be done, short of banning peanuts!

Only 15, that's awful. Food allergies are getting more deadly. I wonder if it's because of what we eat now, or has it always been like this just not reported as widely.

Correct labeling helps, not in this case. You have nut allergies if I remember.

it seems to be a matter of time viruses adapt to survive in the effect of antibiotics.

No man, I like nuts. How else could I have enjoyed my year in Niihama with a bunch of nuts like you? haha

My dad has shellfish allergies so I'm aware of the issue. When he and my mom came over to Japan for two weeks last year I was always afraid he'd accidently eat something with shellfish in it. His allergies are bad enough that he needs to go to the ER so I was hoping to keep that off of the travel itinerary! His allergies didn't develop until later in life, which makes you wonder what causes them.

me, a nuts? an understatement! ^_^

I wonder who it was. Someone among the group in Niihama is certainly allergic to peanuts or something.
